Post-treatment technology for oil seal mold


Oil sealant molds are chemically and physically surface treated with oil seals, which is another trend in the development of oil seal technology. It is an effective technical way to improve the reliability of the oil seal, prolong the service life, and overcome some of the inherent insufficiency of rubber.

1. Heat treatment: ie secondary vulcanization. Foreign studies have shown that in neutral medium and hot air, heat treatment of fluororubber, acrylate rubber, silicone rubber and other oil seals can stabilize its physical and mechanical properties, destroy unstable cross-linked structures, and eliminate the effects of molding vulcanization. Stress, reduce compression set and improve service life.

2. Surface treatment: The PTFE film is applied to the lip of the oil seal to improve the oil seal resistance to medium, high temperature and wear resistance, and reduce friction and heat generation.

3. Coating protective coating and bromination treatment: It can make the oil seal heat-resistant oxygen aging and improve the medium resistance. The above technology has been applied to production abroad, and in addition to secondary vulcanization technology in China, only some manufacturers have just started.
